'One problem with British business is that it's still run mainly by men and women generally come a poor second.'
1 Discuss this point of view in a group. Use the articles to support
your arguments.
2 a) If you are a mixed group, do you find that the males and the females
draw different conclusions from the articles?
b) If so, what do you conclude from that?
3 If you conclude that there are real problems:
a) what are they?
b) what can be done to improve the situation?
4 a) What evidence is there that women's career opportunities are improving?
b) What evidence is there that they are getting worse?
5 Do you think that Mr Blair's scheme will solve the problem?
